Experience a blessing ceremony with close family and friends as a strengthening and networking preparation for the birth.

Blessing Way loosely translated means path of blessing. It is an ancient tradition, originally from the Navajo Native Americans, to consciously and solemnly prepare and initiate pregnant women for the transition to motherhood. Traditionally, this ceremony is held by female members of the intimate circle of friends and family. The partner and father of the child are of course welcome if this is the wish of the expectant mother. The focus is on the pregnant woman with her needs, wishes and creative power. Her femininity, fertility and birthing power are honoured, while the pregnant woman is surrounded with love, trust and strength in a series of rituals.

Mindful touch, chants and small ceremonies surround the expectant mother with positive energies.

Why do a Blessingway ceremony?

The Blessing Way ceremony is much more than just a nice gathering.

It is profound and intimate and connects all participants in a special way. Through the consciously experienced rituals, the affirmations and testimonies in self-chosen community, this blessing ceremony creates lasting positivity:

  • Closeness, trust and anticipation of the upcoming birth
  • The value of a caring and integrated community can be felt and experienced
  • The bond with the baby within the family and circle of friends is strengthened
  • It creates a trusting network for the often vulnerable transitional period in the "new" family constellation
  • The passing on of transgenerational traumas can often come to a healing end
